We did not stay. Wonderful pub food with lovely cask ale and a selection of beers, lager cider on draft. A fabulous warm welcome.
Probably the best pub meal we’ve ever had. The roast had every veg imaginable, all tasted so fresh and was a huge portion. Desserts where equally good. The young lad serving was lovely. Cosy vibe and hawkstone cider was perfect

What an excellent pub! Can not fault this place and the staff. We stayed nearby for a long weekend and ended up coming back here twice! The is absolutely delicious and spot on. Proper home cooked food at reasonable prices. What a great find this was! Would highly recommend!
Very welcoming pub, from staff and customers. Only stopped for some drinks but felt comfortable even with my young son with us.
We attended for food to celebrate a family members birthday. We were a large party of 26 and every single member of our party commented to say how nice their food was. Our food was served all together and was so fresh which we know is no small task for such a large party. The service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. Thank you so much for having us, highly recommend visiting!
Had lunch with friends at the Swan today. Really well presented and freshly cooked food. A lovely country pub with good service and excellent quality meals. Especially the beer battered cod!! Will be returning!
The best hotel I have ever stayed at. Absolutely beautiful with a warm, friendly atmosphere, an amazing menu, and exceptional, kind management and staff. I left a piece of my heart here. More beautiful and full of charm than thousands of luxury, expensive hotels — and with the timeless beauty of the 16th century.
Went for Sunday lunch. Excellent value, large portions and prompt service. Washed down with Three Tuns ale from Bishop’s Castle brewery which tasted even better than having it at its home pub. Lovely!
